Matthias Hoegg is a young and naturally gifted director. After gaining an MA in Animation from the Royal College of Art, Matthias joined Beakus where he has carved a niche creating beautiful, sensitive and striking projects and design in broadcast and film work. In 2011 Matthias was nominated for a BAFTA for his short 'Thursday'. This sophisticated film has received over 113,000 views on Vimeo to date! It's mesmerising and beguiling in equal measure, as are his other films 'August', 'Dropilism' and 'Nightlife'. Since joining Beakus Matthias has created two super-cute narratives for CBeebies, animated sequences for Akzo Nobel and BBC Rogue Trader, created 'picket-fence' animation for Computer Arts, and designed and directed two pilots for Children's series.
