Director – Gergely Wootsch
Gergely Wootsch is an hugely talented director and animator, and a graduate of the Royal College of Art in 2011. His two short films Ordaemonium and This Is Not Real exhibit a postitively futuristic visual style that is engaged with our digital world. Gergely mixes pixel break-up and malfunction with gorgeous 3D and 2D design, all animated skilfully and artfully.
We had the pleasure of working with Gergely when he animated the 3D characters in our CBeebies series Numtums. At the same time he was jetting off to watch his graduation film This Is Not Real at film festivals such as Anilogue, Anchorage, and closer to home, onedotzero. Gergely then proved his calibre when animating the iPad app Animal SnApp: Farm for us, and is approaching completion on a new 9-minute CGI short film for world-renowned photographer Rankin's Collabor8te scheme – The Hungry Corpse features voices by Bill Nighy and Stephen Mangan. 2013 promises to be an exciting year…
