Director Matthias Hoegg created this beautiful and cute clip for CBeebies, to show on the run up to Christmas – twice a day from 12th December till 2nd January. It’s the 6th seasonal clip we’ve made for the channel, and they are turning in to a fantastic series. This Christmas tale is about Bella and how she prepares for the big day, decorating the tree and preparing her oversized stocking… Oh, and asking Santa for Peace…! We have been working hard on two new installments of time-travelling Eric's animation series for the BBC 'Day In The Life'. The first, 'Victorians', is online at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/handsonhistory/victorians.shtml

This is the fifth episode, and Eric is joined by his younger sister Mona in travelling back to the Victorian Workhouse where the intrepid duo are put to work in the mills, down the pits and up the chimneys… It's a rough old life, and the food's appalling. Beakus' Spring-themed idents for CBeebies went down so well we were asked to create two more as Summer approached. Sarah Orenstein and Matthias Hoegg directed and designed one each and we present here Sarah's poetic visualisation of Kaysie and her brother's back yard fun, involving  paddling pool and lots of water.. For the past couple of months director Leo Bridle has been creating a series of nine 40-second animations for the British Library. A major new portal on their website, 'Playtimes: A Century of Children's Games and Rhymes', launched a few days back by Michael Rosen, aims to preserve children’s games and songs as an important aspect of our national culture and explore how they continue to be a part of the lives of children living in the age of computer games and the internet. Leo's animations form the backbone to the new web portal, illustrating all the different types of games children play. Below we present a fun edit!

Leo held workshops at two schools, in London and Sheffield, to brainstorm the content for the nine films, and create the artwork and soundtracks. Back in the studio we animated the kids drawings to bring their stories to life over a ten week period. Below we feature a selection of artwork created by the kids. Running between programmes right through Summer on CBeebies is this ident by Matthias Hoegg. After producing some beautiful idents in Spring for CBeebies we were asked to interpret young Sam's Summertime adventures by the sea which take him on a magical boat ride in the clouds.. Working to the pre-determined soundtrack of an interview with little Sam gave us a structure upon which to visualise his watery world and add our own imagination. The studio has been full of the joys of Spring working on a series of animations for CBeebies… BAFTA nominated director Matthias Hoegg and new signing Sarah Orenstein took turns in visualising the cute yet surreal thoughts of several kids as they wax lyrical about the onset of Spring.. As we write, two of the four clips has been aired, and here we present the first: 'Eleanor', by Sarah Orenstein.

This is the second in our series about Eric, a 10-year-old animated boy who can travel back in time. 'Day In The Life' was created to accompany a major new BBC series ‘Hands On History’ that encourages kids to find out more about historical periods through the BBC’s website. 'Evacuee' sees Eric leave his London home to lodge in the countryside. Here he has a busy time helping everyone out, coping with rationing, and looking for scrap metal. An exciting dog-fight gives Eric the opportunity to win a coveted spitfire…

Eric is voiced by the talented Daniel Roche, from ‘Outnumbered’, whose idiosyncratic delivery helped to develop Eric’s character.
